NYCWY PVC SCREENED PVC POWER CABLE 0.6 1KV APPLIICATION
NYCWY is intended for power distribution cable for static application, mostly in ground, but also in water, within facilities, in cable canals, in concrete, in conditions requiring increased electric protection and protection against mechanical damages. Used in electric power plants, transformer stations, industrial plants, metropolitan networks and other electric plants. Concentric conductor can be used as neutral, protective or earth connection, and if there is a danger of damages caused by digging, it acts as protection against contact voltage, in case of rough insulation damage. Corrugated concentric conductor construction enables establishing of several cable connections without conductor cutting
NYCWY is produced as a fixed wiring power cable for use where increased electrical conductivity with accompanying protection is required. This is particularly suited for underground laying, notably in subscriber networks and power stations, and for control cables for the transmission of control impulses and test data. With a water and UV-resistant sheath for outdoor use.
NYCWY is available in 3 different conductor types:
- RE: Class 1 solid copper conductor
- RM: Class 2 stranded round copper conductor
- SM: Class 2 stranded sectorial copper conductor
Additionally, the cable has a Concentric Waveconal outer conductor of copper wire and counter spiral copper tape.
